I made this cake for our Jubilee street party in 2012 to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The cake itself was a Victoria sandwich sponge with jam and butter icing inside and covered with fondant icing. The Union Jack pattern was made by cutting lots of tiny red, white and blue, hearts, leaves and flowers out of fondant and sticking them on to the cake in the Union flag pattern
